Mercadome & Alamo Dance Hall – Brand Narrative & Website Messaging
Narrative refinement and multi-page messaging for a family-owned marketplace and live music venue.
Overview
Mercadome is a long-standing, family-owned marketplace and cultural destination. The brand needed messaging that captured its energy and community roots while providing clarity for both visitors and vendors.
My role was to refine and unify messaging across the primary site and the Alamo Dance Hall venue page.
Strategic Context
The marketplace had strong personality but inconsistent messaging across pages. Different audiences (vendors, shoppers, event-goers) were addressed unevenly.
The opportunity was to clarify:
- The brand’s core identity
- Its emotional appeal
- How it serves multiple audience segments without fragmentation
Strategic Lens
The key shift was from fragmented descriptions to a unified narrative centered on community and experience.
Rather than presenting the venue and marketplace as separate entities, we positioned them as expressions of the same cultural heartbeat.
Messaging emphasized:
- Tradition
- Local connection
- Energy and vibrancy
- Family ownership and legacy
Execution
- Refined core messaging pillars
- Wrote new website sections where needed
- Developed focused narrative for Alamo Dance Hall page
- Balanced informational clarity with cultural warmth
- Structured pages to guide both visitors and vendors effectively
Systems Impact
The updated messaging created cohesion across:
- Marketplace pages
- Venue pages
- Event promotion
- Future campaign development
It gave the brand a reusable story structure that could support growth without losing authenticity.
Outcome
The site now reflects a clearer identity rooted in community and experience, with stronger alignment between voice, audience, and purpose.
